Edinburgh.....the Capital City of Scotland

Hollyrood Park, Salisbury Crags and Arthur's Seat This post will introduce you to Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland. When I was in Scotland, I used to visit this historical rich city at least once every year, just to run away from the busy Glasgow. Edinburgh is located at a region of iconic landmarks known as the Lothians. What are the interesting places to visit or to do here? Edinburgh Castle and the main entrance A must see attraction is the Edinburgh Castle, one of Scotland's most iconic attractions, sits on its own volcanic rock at the top of the Royal Mile. It was the mighty fortification and favoured residence of Scotland’s kings and queens. The Royal Palace located inside the castle was created in 1617 in honour of James VI. The real Scottish Crown Jewels and the Stone of Destiny are kept in the Crown Room. Since 1861 at 1 p.m. daily, watch and listen at the One O'clock Gun fire. Admission fee for the castle is about GBP 14.50 to 16.00 (RM71 to 78)

Bolognese beef lagsana.......with green spinach lagsana In this post I would like to share a simple recipe for Bolognese beef lagsana. First, to cook the white sauce; second, to sauté the Bolognese beef sauce; third, pieces of lagsana and cheese mixture to construct the layered pasta. The amount of ingredients in this post will be able to produce 4 servings or sufficient for 4 persons. Ingredients for white sauce: salt, nutmeg, flour, cracked pepper, milk and mixture of cheese (not in photo) Cooked white sauce with grain of pepper and nutmeg The ingredients for the white sauce include two tablespoons of all purpose flour, 50 grams of butter, a glass of milk, two - three tablespoons of c

The secretly enchanted....Venice

Canale and vicolo..... not other place in the world is similar to Venice I visited this enchanted city in 2007, so it is an old story and please excuse me for the poor quality of photos. These photos were from my old 3 MP camera, so what do you expect?! I was in Venice not for holiday but rather to fulfill my job requirement. I spend the 1-month stay at the International University of Venice located at the Isola di San Servolo, a very tiny island but very very beautiful. From my room, I can see the St Marco campanile. I think it is nice to share with my friends what to see and do in Venice other than just eat the PASTAs. Isola di San Servolo......the International University of Venice building; a view from my room; the main entrance of the university Venice or known as Venezia by the local people, the Venetian. The Island of Bali.....peaceful, green and mystical

Today’s blog will introduce you to Bali, a mystical island at the eastern tip of Java, Indonesia. The trip has taken place several years ago with my parents and sister for our annual holiday. The flight duration between Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Bali was around 3 to 4 hours. We stayed at Jayakarta Hotel located by the beach of Legian, quite a decent hotel with nice surrounding of Balinese garden and excellent hospitality. Jayakarta Hotel, Legian.......peaceful and very very green Bali is not a HUGE island but the tourist attractions are located quite far to each other. Because of the narrow and busy traffic, we decided to rent a van with driver to bring us around for the two days (between 9 am to 6 pm every day). The rental was just RM300, this includes a van, driver acting as tour guide, petrol and parking tickets. Too cheap compared to the amount you need to pay if you  tour Kuala Lumpur. The sweet smell frangipani.....can be found anywhere in Bali We started o
