The Breath of Istanbul in Black and White

A view of the Sultanahmet Camii (the Blue Mosque) from Topkapi Sarayi (Palace) main gate. Pictures tell many stories......when presented in black and white, it will partly highlighted the mood. Here are some of the photos of my recent trip to Istanbul, Turkey where the West meet the East. Enjoy. Salep, a special Ottoman hot drink with orchid flavour. How heavy can it be? The beautiful aroma of spices at the Egyptian Bazaar (Misir Carsisi) or the Spice Bazaar. Simit, the Turkish bagel commonly matched with hazelnut spread. A view (Yeni Cami)  from the Metro, the most popular transport in Istanbul. An old tram servicing Taksim Square and Tunel. The Grand Bazaar (Kapali Carsi).....amazing choice of goodies from more than 3000 shops. The interior of the Grand Bazaar. The soul and architecture of the Blue Mosque. Shine all the way. Positive Thinking Two atoms are walking down the street. The first one suddenly says in shock, "Oh no! I just lost an electron!" The second one says, "Are you sure?" And the first one replies, "I'm POSITIVE!". source: www.themonkdude.com

Photography Project......The Graduation Day

Graduation day is the moment to be proud off for many people because not many have the courage to go for higher degrees. Capturing the graduation day can be divided to two stages; an outdoor session and the day of graduation. In this post I would like to share some of my limited ideas for an outdoor session photo shoot. I am still new to the subject matter and requires more practice. The location of the shoot was at Shah Alam Lake Garden, Selangor. It was a gloomy day with on and off drizzle, and time of the day was between half pass five to half pass six in the late afternoon. All photos were captured without flash and edited to highlight the mood.   Talent: Hafidz Hamzah

Je t'aime Paris de l'Est ....... Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City or Paris of the East, formerly named Saigon is the largest city in Vietnam. Located on the South end of Vietnam. South Vietnam was a capitalist and anti-communist state which fought against the communist North Vietnamese and Viet Cong during the Vietnam War. On 30 April 1975, Communist claimed victory on Saigon in the war.  In the following year, Saigon merged with the surrounding Gia Dịnh Province and was officially renamed Ho Chi Minh City. The city's core is still adorned with wide elegant boulevards and historic French colonial buildings, which was the reason I labelled HCMC as Paris of the East. The majority of these tourist spots are located in District 1 and are a short leisurely distance from each other. The most prominent structures in the city center are the Reunification Palace, City Hall, Municipal Theatre (also known as the Opera House), City Post Office, City People's Court  and Notre-Dame Cathedral.  City People's Court
