What to dream in 2013?

Each of us dreams of having a long lasting happiness and a flashy short sadness. Here are some of the things that can be done easily to help us to achieved our dream. The items listed on how to make the year 2013 much better were send to me from few good friends. Sharing is caring.....in this case is true :-)

For Health
1. Drink plenty of water.....don't forget to pee too
2. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar
3. Live with the 3 E's; Energy, Enthusiasm and Empathy
4. Make time to pray
5. Play more games or exercise more
6. Read more books
7. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day
8. Get enough sleep at least 7 hours per day
9. Take a walk with smile for 10 to 30 minutes
10. Sing louder in the shower
11. Dance more by yourself in your room, to whatever absurd music you like to listen to when you’re alone.

For Personality
1. Don't over do. Keep your limits
2. Don't take yourself so so so seriously as no one else does
3. Don't waste any precious energy on gossip
4. Dream more while you are awake
5. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need
6. Forget issues of the past. Don't remind your partner with his/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness
7. Life is too short to waste on hating anyone. Don't hate others
8. No one is in-charge of your happiness except you
9. Smile and laugh more
10. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree
11. Stop watching terrible reality shows that you know only make you more of a shallow, simple person.

For Family and Society
1. Call your family often
2. Each day give something good to others
3. Forgive everyone for everything
4. Spend time with people over the age of 70 and under the age of 6
5. Try to make at least 3 people smile each day
6. What other people think of you is none of your business
7. Donate a little bit of your time to doing something for the good of society — even if it just means picking up a little bit of trash that you see and throwing it in a recycling bin, or starting a compost, or making a lunch for the homeless in your neighborhood once in a while. Focus on making the first step towards being more useful with your time.
8. Be honest with yourself about which friends are not challenging or encouraging you in the right ways, and which friends may even be bringing you down or preventing you from doing the things you want to do.

For Life
1. Do the right thing in everything!
2. God heals everything
3. However good or bad a situation is, it will change
4. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up, the best is yet to come
5. Thanks god when awake in the morning
6. Believe that your inner most is always happy, so be happy

Super thanks to my friends in Seoul and UK for most of the items in the list. Have a blessed and blasted 2013. Money is not everything!...right?

Converting Bedside Table to a Portable Wash-Stand (IKEA Hack)

What to do if a ready made furniture is not able to fit in the space that is available? Your choice will be either build a customised furniture or hacking a furniture for a different purpose. Hacking a furniture will cut almost 70% of the work required to build a customised furniture from zero.  Here, I share a step-by-step process on one of my DIY weekend projects converting bedside table to portable wash-stand. What will be required for this project? Tools (e.g. saw, metal ruler, hand drill), sand paper and brushes for wood work, base furniture to be hacked, water-resistant paint and metal knob. STEP 1. Get some ideas on the design and materials by visiting several furniture galleries/shops. For example here, the idea was from an IKEA wash basin base cabinet, Lillangen. The material mainly particleboard, which might not be that suitable for Malaysian humidity and bathroom practice. For that reason, I choose solid wood material the project. The dimension of the IKEA cab

Too dark...too bright....

Too dark or too bright.....this is due to poor exposure of the sensor to light. Is it a problem if my photo is too dark or too bright? May be yes and may be no, depends on what you want in your image. If the photo is too dark (underexposed), you will loss the detail of the shadow. If the photo is too bright (overexposed), you will loss the texture of the cloud and sky. Exposure is a combination of two fundamental settings: the aperture opening and the shutter speed. Aperture opening is the function in your lens and the shutter speed is the function in your camera. Optimal exposure can be achieved with many combinations of aperture opening size and the shutter speed, BUT each combination will have differences in depth of focus, motion blur and etc. How this exposure can be controlled? The answer is by having a good understanding of the combination of aperture and shutter speed. Shallow depth of focus, focus point was on the middle broccoli, focal length of 50 mm, large aperture ope

Cranberry and Raisin Scones....simply yummilicious

The scone baking project was to fulfill the weekend afternoon, and not because of the "doughnut story".....hihihi. Here I share the basic scone recipe. As I have mentioned earlier "Now everyone can bake", as such the recipe is easy to follow. Ingredients: 2 cups plain flour 1/3 cup sugar 1 tablespoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup butter 1 egg (medium) beaten with 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/3 cup whole milk 1/2 cup raisins 1/2 cup dried cranberries 1:1 ratio of egg:milk wash Method: Pre-heat the oven to 180-200C. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add in the butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs (photo 2) and then follow by the egg and vanilla. Add in the milk slowly to form a firm soft dough that can be roll out. Stir until the dry ingredients are moistened. Add in the dried cranberries and raisins. Roll out the dough on floured surface to 2 cm thickness. Using a 5 cm round scone cu
